The Virtual Campus project is proudly funded by the Department for the Economy's Step Up project.
Virtual Campus has proudly originated from the creativity of our very own Ulster University students. As an award-winning student-led project, it allows users to virtually explore and connect with the Ulster University campus.
With the ability to explore the campus from anywhere in the world, the Virtual Campus project transcends geographical boundaries, making Ulster University’s environment accessible to all. This unique Virtual Campus initiative not only provides exclusive access to specialised spaces but also allows individuals to explore new spaces, reducing feelings of anxiety and creating a more inclusive and comfortable experience for everyone involved.

Virtual Campus, originally named Project ADAPT, began as an undergraduate project by Ulster University student Josephine McGoldrick.
Her work was showcased at the 2021 Higher Education Advances (HEAd) Conference and won the Report Category at the 2021 Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) AT Awards.
The Virtual Campus team extends special thanks to Ulster University placement students Saif Wasim, Conor Dempsey, John McCamphill, Klaudia Rymdejko, Oran McGrinder, Luke Fitzpatrick, and Reece Harvey for their hard work and contributions.

The outputs depicting spaces in Block BC and Block BD of the Belfast Campus used existing Greater Belfast Development project models developed by others, made available for internal use as part of the project workflow. All outputs from Block BA of the Belfast Campus and from the Coleraine and Derry~Londonderry Campus were developed entirely by the project team. Thanks are also expressed to Leica Geosystems for their support in the development of the project.
