About the Game Design Studio

Ulster University’s Games Design and Development Studios are state-of-the-art spaces designed to replicate industry environments and equip students with hands-on experience in game development.

Part of the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, these studios feature industry-standard hardware and cutting-edge technology, supporting the full development lifecycle from concept to production.

Collaboration is at the core of the studio experience. Students work in teams, using breakout spaces, whiteboards, and agile development tools to brainstorm, prototype, and refine their projects. This dynamic environment fosters creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving—key skills for the games industry.
