Diagnostic Radiography practical room (Radiotherapy suite)

Our Radiotherapy Suite is a state-of-the-art facility designed to provide students with comprehensive, hands-on training in a clinical setting. Equipped with advanced radiotherapy technology, including cutting-edge linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and patient simulation tools, the suite offers students the opportunity to practice essential radiotherapy techniques, treatment planning, and patient care protocols.

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, students will develop practical skills in treatment delivery, patient positioning, and dosimetry while enhancing their understanding of radiobiology, anatomy, and oncology. The suite also provides simulation capabilities through integrated computer systems, including Treatment Management Systems (TMS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), used across NHS trusts in Northern Ireland.

This immersive environment ensures students are fully prepared for clinical placements and ready to embark on successful careers in radiotherapy, equipped with the knowledge and experience required for excellence in patient care and treatment.
