Anechoic Chamber
Ulster University's Anechoic Chamber is a specialised teaching location for School of Architecture & Built Environment students.
The space is designed for highly controlled acoustic testing, providing an environment completely free from external sound reflections or echoes. The word "anechoic" means "without echo," and the chamber is engineered to absorb sound waves and prevent any reflections from the walls, floor, and ceiling. This controlled acoustic environment is essential for conducting accurate sound measurements, testing acoustic devices, and researching various aspects of acoustics and audio engineering.
