At 43 years old, Benoîte Martin is a peace building professional with a seventeen years’ experience in Iraq and ten years’ experience in Syria.
She has developed thorough knowledge on conflict in the Middle East and speaks Arabic. She is dedicated to building the capacity of local civil society actors and youth in particular with a special interest in promoting social cohesion.
Benoîte is a PhD researcher at the UNESCO Centre and looks at interactions between education & conflict. She currently is analyzing educational policies put in place by the Kurdish Autonomous Administration in North East Syria and their impact on social cohesion.
