The Ulster University Business School (UUBS) is excited to launch the 2025 Responsible Business and Management Student Writing Competition, hosted by PRME at UUBS, and sponsored by the UUBS Sustainability Committee.

What’s the competition about?

This annual competition shines a spotlight on some of the best student work across the University, encouraging you to delve into sustainability, the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and responsible business practices.

With a total prize pool of £500, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to showcase your academic talent and creativity while making a real impact on these important global topics.

Who can enter?

This competition is open to all UU students, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD researchers, from any discipline. You can submit work that you’ve already completed as part of your regular coursework, so you don’t need to write something specifically for the competition!

How do I enter?

If you have coursework that relates to any of these themes, submit it for a chance to win across three categories:

  1. Undergraduate Essays and Reports
  2. Postgraduate Essays and Reports
  3. Alternative Media (for creative formats like videos, podcasts, or other non-traditional submissions)

To submit, simply email your entry to uubssustainability@ulster.ac.uk by Thursday 1 May.
