We’re here to help you navigate the transition, make the most of your time at Ulster, and embrace all the opportunities that Northern Ireland has to offer.
Before You Arrive
- Check your personal email for a link to your enrolment portal.
- Complete your enrolment before arrival, including uploading the photo for your student ID.
- Set up your IT access before arriving on campus to avoid connectivity issues using the Getting Started With IT Guide.
For International Students
- Ensure you've completed the UUniReady app before you leave as it provides vital information and advice to prepare for your travel to Ulster.
Global students will only have access to Online Enrolment after arriving in the UK.
Right to Study Check
- Upon arrival into the UK, complete your 'Right to Study' check.
Access Online Enrolment
- Once your right to study is approved, you will gain access to the online enrolment system.
- Complete online enrolment before arriving on campus.
Pay Your Fees
- As part of online enrolment, you must pay 50% of your fees or set up a payment plan to complete the process.

Upon Arrival
Now that you've completed your online enrolment, here's what you need to do upon arrival to get settled and start your university experience.
Collect Your Student ID Card
- Plan to arrive on campus a couple of hours before your course induction to collect your student ID card. This is essential for accessing campus facilities.
Attend Induction Sessions
- Be punctual for your induction sessions to get acquainted with your Course Director and campus life.

There are several public transport discounts for students, available through Translink including;
- Discounted fares on bus and train services for both local and regional travel.
- 16-23 year old yLink smartpass, which gives access to cheaper travel on public transport across Northern Ireland.
- Discounts on multi-ride tickets and travel passes, helping to save money on regular commutes.
