Get Organised

Before you step back on campus, start organising your calendar by downloading your timetable.  Blocking out classes and study time will identify what free time you have so you can balance study, socialising and rest.

A Clean Sweep

Channel your inner Mrs Hinch and clear out your home environment so you can start the year in freshly organised surroundings.

Virtual Support

There is lots of virtual support available to help you refine your techniques and get fast feedback.

Our online Student Connect Peer Mentoring Service is free for all first year undergraduates offering the chance to connect with a student mentor for help settling in to university life, managing your time, navigating your course and getting advice about course work.

The Writing Feedback Service allows you to upload a writing draft at any time to receive constructive feedback on how to improve your work before you hand it in.

Connect Live enables students to submit a question to a subject specialist in the interactive classroom with chat, collaborative whiteboard, and file sharing options.

English Language Skills

If you are an international student, English may not be your first language. Support is available through the Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT), who offer a range of face-to-face and online English language workshops and one-to-one consultations throughout the academic year.

Love Your Library

At the heart of each of our campuses sits your Library, filled with a wealth of support. Access is available 24/7 during term but there is plenty of online support you can access from anywhere including a huge variety of e-books and journals, past exam papers, reading lists and subject guides. You can also take part in a number of workshops that run throughout the year, borrow a laptop and book space to work on group projects.
