How to Access SEAtS
Before you begin using SEAtS, make sure you’ve completed these steps:
- Enrolment: You must be fully enrolled.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Set this up to access university services, including SEAtS.
- Wi-Fi: Ensure you’re connected to the University’s Wi-Fi network.
Just Enrolled?
It may take up to 24 hours for your email to be added to SEAtS, so if you don’t see it straight away, hang tight!
Checking In for Class
When it’s time to check into a class, follow these simple steps:
- Enable location services on the SEAtS app.
- Make sure ‘Precise Location’ is turned on for accuracy.
- Don’t forget to enable Bluetooth!
Seeing All Sessions?
You might notice your timetable shows all group sessions for your modules, even ones that don’t apply to you. Don’t worry, once groups are finalised, only your assigned sessions will appear. In the meantime, just check into the sessions for your group.

Having Issues with SEAtS?
We have a dedicated SEAtS team to support you with any issues you encounter. For group sessions or seminars, you may notice the SEAtS app shows not only your own group but all available groups. After Friday 14 February, the team will begin to update student groups retrospectively to ensure your attendance record is reflected. Please be assured that you will not be negatively affected by the visibility of all groups, and any incorrect absences from these sessions are temporary and will be corrected.
If you are experience any challenges checking in or have any other queries, our team are on hand to support you.
