Students as Leaders is designed for current and aspiring student leaders, eager to enhance their skills and create a positive impact in their university, communities, and workplaces. Open to 150 students the programme includes 2 in-person and 5 online sessions.

Programme Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Students as Leaders programme, you will unlock:
Practical leadership skills
- Learn key leadership concepts and principles that will enhance you as a leader.
Access to Institute of Directors Membership (Worth over £200)
- Gain access to exclusive professional networking opportunities, valuable resources, and leadership insights with IoD student membership.
Tomorrow’s Directors Certification (via IoD)
- A specialised online training course designed for students seeking to validate their expertise and prepare for future leadership roles.
CV-enhancing knowledge and skills
- Obtain valuable leadership knowledge and skills which will strengthen your CV and prepare you for future career opportunities.
Ulster University Certificate
- Receive a certificate for completing the programme at our closing Conference.
Programme Outcomes
Application Criteria
The Students as Leaders programme is open to current Ulster University students, of any discipline who meet the following criteria:
1. Aspiring Leader
You’re an aspiring leader looking to grow your skills and knowledge or you are keen to enhance your existing leadership skills.
2. Available to attend
You can attend all in-person sessions and at least three virtual sessions. If, due to mitigating circumstances, you are unable to attend enough sessions to meet programme requirements please notify the programme team.
