This interactive workshop will allow you to explore what it is to be an ally and the proactive things you can do to demonstrate your allyship.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- Understand allyship and be able to define it. Explain its importance in creating inclusive and equitable environments.
- Identify privilege and oppression and develop an awareness of our own privilege and how we can use it to support others.
- Create inclusive spaces by using strategies for fostering welcoming and inclusive environments for all people.
- Learn actions you can take to continue being effective allies in everyday life.
- Reflect on how to maintain long-term commitment to allyship and address the challenges that may arise in doing so.
