Have you taken a break from your studies and are now preparing to return to university?
We understand that students take a Leave of Absence for various reasons and each experience is unique. For a personalised return plan, please contact the Student Success team at uusuccess@ulster.ac.uk.
What a personalised plan may include:
You can discuss your individual needs with the team, such as requiring extra study support when returning to university. They will help you access the right resources available on your campus. If it has been a while since you have used the Library or Blackboard resources, the Student Success team can guide you through these platforms and help you set goals for a smoother return to your studies.
If you are feeling nervous about coming back, please know that this is completely normal. You are not alone in your Ulster University experience—reach out to the team for support.
Enhanced Inductions
Every Ulster University student will participate in a bespoke induction led by your course team academics. During this induction, you will receive detailed information about your course, meet the academic and support staff, and begin to build excitement about your studies. It is also a chance to connect with your peers in your modules, start forming meaningful connections, and learn about the various support services available at Ulster.
This can be a busy week filled with lots of new information, including adapting to university life, possibly moving away from home, and entering higher education for the first time.
To support your transition, the Student Success team offers additional induction sessions. These sessions are designed to help students adjust smoothly to life at Ulster and are available both online and on your home campus.
