If you are permitted by a Board of Examiners to take/retake examinations/coursework or submit/resubmit dissertation in the next academic year without attendance you should note that:
Re-enrol
You are required to re-enrol with the campus Examinations Office at the beginning of the academic year.
The Examinations Office will email your UU email account in September/October advising you of how to do this.
Pay a registration fee
All students in this position are required to pay a registration fee plus, for those students repeating, a fee for each module or part thereof is also due.
The tuition fees are reviewed annually.
Single semester two module only
If you are required to take/retake coursework and/or examination for a single semester two module only, and have no semester one modules, you may elect to retake this at the January examination period provided that you notify the campus Examination Office prior to the start of the academic year.
If successful, you may be permitted to proceed to the next year of the course and take semesters out of sequence.
This is subject to consultation with your Course/Subject Director.
Semester one modules only
If you are required to take/retake semester one modules only, you may, if successful, be permitted to proceed to the next year of the Course and take semesters out of sequence.
This is subject to consultation with your Course/Subject Director.
ID cards
If you require a replacement ID card when registered i.e. the date on your current ID card has expired then please email your campus Registry Office.
If you have lost or misplaced your ID card then you can obtain a replacement by purchasing a new card.
If you are required to repeat the year in full or in part (applicable to students coded N1, N2, N3 or NP by the Board of Examiners) you must re-enrol for the new academic term using the Online Enrolment system (OLE).
You will receive an email to your Ulster email account prompting you to register online.
If you are enrolling to repeat the year in part, select only the modules you are required to retake, details of which can be found on your student Portal at Progress/Award Decisions
Tuition fees for part-time attendance will be calculated on a pro rata basis, based on the number of credit points you have enrolled for.
Once you have visited all the menu options on the Online system, made any amendments required and confirmed that your data is correct, you complete online enrolment by clicking a button to submit your details. These will then be uploaded into the central student records system to update the information held on you.
It is particularly important that your full legal name and address details are correct as correspondence will be sent to you from time to time; that your modules are correct as class materials will be uploaded to blackboard for you to view and also marks will be recorded against the modules you enrol for and presented to the Boards of Examiners.
If you require a replacement ID card, have a query or require assistance please email your campus Registry Office at the email address listed below.
