A Fully Funded Leadership Module
Enhance your self-awareness and deepen your knowledge of professional attributes, behaviours, and skills with our 8-week leadership module, starting Friday 31 January 2025. This module is open to women working in STEM. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and the Arts).
This unique module is designed to ignite the leaders of tomorrow, through a work-based learning approach you will plan and develop your professional leadership abilities. As well as this, you will also complete 15 credits which is formally accredited and may also count towards the achievement of the Postgraduate Certificate in Professional development at Ulster University.

This DFE programme is funded by the Skills Fund, aligning with Minister’s Economic Vision.

Engage in dynamic workshops, gain expert insights, cultivate vital skills for a thriving STEM career and embark on a transformative journey towards excellence.
Learn more about this opportunity:
- Course duration: The course is delivered over eight weeks, from 31 January 2025 - 21 March 2025.
- Learning Style: The course features blended learning, with three face-to-face half day workshops at the Ulster University Belfast Campus, on 31 January, 21February and 21 March.
- This face-to-face learning will be supplemented with five 60 minute online teaching sessions which will run 12-2pm on a Friday 7 February, 14 February, (Date and time during week 5 to be confirmed), 7 March and 14 March.
- Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions
- A mentoring approach will be encouraged, and group coaching will be provided.
- This module is worth 15 credits at level 7, part of the PG Cert in Professional Development qualification.
- Assessment will be by way of a Group Presentation and an Individual Reflection and the completion and submission of a Leadership Growth Journal.
- There are 40 fully funded places available, funded by the DFE Skills Fund, aligning with Minister’s Economic Vision. Eligibility criteria apply - you must be a graduate and you must be domiciled in Northern Ireland.
