Dr Sian-Lee Ewan


Overview

Sian-Lee Ewan graduated from Cambridge University and completed her postgraduate general practice training in Northern Ireland, gaining the highest national mark in the CSA membership exam that year.

She is passionate about General Practice and has been involved in delivering undergraduate medical student placements for many years. She is a recognised out of hours clinical supervisor for GP trainees and designs and delivers communication skills training for GP trainees across the Western trust.

As the GP Placement Development lead, she will be responsible for designing and planning for the GP components of the programme and ensuring students receive an excellent teaching and learning experience.

Sian-Lee also works as a GP Partner in an inner-city practice in Derry~Londonderry with a specialist clinical interests in diabetes and learning disabilities. She has a strong background in quality improvement having introduced several new trust wide systems and was recently recognised for her quality improvement work by being awarded “Diabetes Project of the Year” at the NI Healthcare Awards (2020).
