Overview

Sarah is a Student Success Officer (Transition and Induction) in the new Student Success Centre at Ulster University. Sarah was awarded BSc in Coaching Science in 2004, after which, she lectured in Sports and Coaching Science in Further Education at Wirral Metropolitan College .

Sarah transferred her skills in coaching to support young people from disadvantaged communities becoming a Restorative Practitioner, Youth Worker and Educator in Northern Ireland.  She has extensive experience leading projects for care experienced young people, supporting disadvantaged communities and volunteering projects. All whilst promoting positive and equal access to education for all. Sarah created and delivered educational projects for young people who could not access the formal educational system empowering them to achieve their potential to access future employment, training or education.

As an educator and youth worker, Sarah had a lead role on a range of externally funded projects across Northern Ireland and GB. Sarah championed volunteering and community interventions enriching opportunities for all within Northern Ireland.

Sarah has worked in Higher Education since 2022 and strives to improve the education experience for the Student to achieve their full potential.
