Dr Patricia Harris
Overview
Patricia Harris has worked in medical and health professionals education for the last 10 years. She is a biology graduate who undertook her PhD in Student Wellbeing in Higher Education.
She has held a number of academic leadership roles in health and medical schools across the UK, spanning Admissions and Widening Participation, Academic Support, Interprofessional Education, Student Experience, Quality Assurance, Curriculum Design including Assessment and Validation and Accreditation with a range of PSRBs. Her expertise is in the review and development of educational strategy, academic processes and governance to improve outcomes and experience.
Patricia is passionate about widening access to the medical profession and was responsible for delivering the access and participation plan across UEA's Faculty of Life and Health Sciences and designed a unique access to medicine pathway for the East of England. She is currently the Course Director for Ulster University’s Graduate Entry Medical programme and is committed to developing medical graduates who represent the diverse communities they serve.
Patricia is available for consultancy and staff training / mentoring for new and establishing programmes and is interested in national and international partnership to drive innovation in medical education, in particular the use of technology, including AI, to enhance academic processes.
