Teaching interests
Andrew teaches on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules on the geography and environmental science degree programmes. He is Course Director for the Pg.Dip/MSc in Coastal Zone Management.
Research interests
Andrew works in areas of coastal environmental change at various temporal scales, from the Quaternary through to short-term changes. He has a diverse range of interests in the geomorphology and sedimentology of estuaries, lagoons, beaches and dunes and rocky coasts.
He has published on coastal environments worldwide and is interested in how scientific understanding of ‘how coasts work’ can be applied to practical aspects of coastal management.
