Eligibility criteria
The Scholarship is open to first year female students enrolled on the following Undergraduate courses at Ulster University:
- BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- BEng Electronic Engineering with Enterprise Development
- BEng Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering
- BEng Mechanical Engineering with Enterprise Development
- BEng Renewable Energy Engineering
In addition to being enrolled on one of the above programs, to be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be currently resident in Northern Ireland or one of the border counties of Donegal, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan or Louth.
Students who meet these eligibility criteria can apply for the Scholarship by completing an application form.
Applicants must also obtain a reference and ask a referee to write a supporting statement in no more than 500 words. The referee should be someone who can comment on academic performance and not a family member.
A panel will then be convened to interview and select the successful applicant based on the following criteria:
- Academic excellence in the first semester of year one
- Quality of application and reference, including demonstration of impact of the Scholarship and future potential and demonstration of the core values of Omexom
The Schools will notify the successful student. The panel reserves the right to not select any applicant if none of the applications meet the required standard.
