Elizabeth McArdle

Elizabeth McArdle is Project manager for YouthPact.

Elizabeth works for Ulster University and manages the YouthPact team of the Quality and Impact Body.

Elizabeth works with YouthPact development officers to maximise quality, impact and best practice across all areas of the project.

Elizabeth works to draw together the learning from the projects and the young people, to inform policy-makers and future peacebuilding initiatives.

Elizabeth is a lecturer in Community Youth Work at Ulster University, with previous history of working as team leader for the Gender Equality Unit for YouthAction Northern Ireland.


Leighann McConville

Leighann is one of the three Development Officers working with YouthPact.

She is based in Ulster University (UU) and will have a particular focus on capturing best practice and producing practice and policy papers while working with all team members of YouthPact to support and enhance best practice and quality impact throughout the delivery of the Peace IV programme.

Leighann has worked in the youth work sector for 16 years and previous to qualifying worked in the faith based youth work sector in the North and South of Ireland.


Daryl Moore

Daryl is one of the three Development Officers working with YouthPact.

He is based in POBAL and will have a particular focus on promoting and developing the Cross Border elements of the programme, specifically offering support to border region partners, working while working with all team members of YouthPact to support and enhance best practise and quality impact throughout the delivery of the PEACE IV programme.

Daryl has worked in the youth sector for 15 years having experience in youth work, programme design and implementation as well as facilitation.

On top of this Daryl has experience in disability support and the Arts.


Joe Hawkins

Joe is one of three Development Officers working with YouthPact.

Joe Hawkins is employed through the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI). While working with all team members of YouthPact to enhance quality and maximise impact of the projects funded under Action 2.1 of the EU PEACE IV Programme, Joe will also take the lead in developing Young Voices activities and resources.

Joe will be based in Co-operation Ireland’s offices in Belfast. Joe has many years’ experience in both the voluntary and statutory youth work sector in Northern Ireland.


Sota McCann

Sota McCann is a Project Administrator working with YouthPact. She is based in Co-operation Ireland and is responsible for providing financial and administrative support.

She has a bachelor degree in Finance and Accounts in Cambodia and more recently gained an MSc from QUB in Leadership for Sustainable Development.

Sota has over ten years of experience working community development, peace building and community relations both in Cambodia and here in Northern Ireland.

Her professional career along with her academic qualifications has enabled her to develop a wide range of management and budgeting skills.

Her experience in establishing, evaluation and managing programmes in Cambodia has increased her passion for education and community development, the promotion of social justice as well as the empowerment of marginalised communities.


Andy Hamilton

Andy Hamilton is on a funded PhD studentship with Ulster University, supported by the Department for the Economy.

Andy is based in Jordanstown developing research to inform the work of YouthPact and will be involved in writing papers on emerging themes.

His PhD research is focused on practitioner approaches to peacebuilding work with young people in Northern Ireland in the youth work sector.

He is keen to make contact with workers delivering through EU Peace IV Children and Young People's Programme (Action 2.1) to explore themes arising in the projects.

Andy worked as a centre youth worker for 5 years in Ballysillan Youth for Christ in North Belfast and has been on the National Executive with YMCA Ireland for 5 years.
