The jobs are based in The Northern Ireland Centre for Stratified Medicine (NICSM), an integral part of the School of Biomedical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences Research Institute at Ulster University which have a vibrant research ecosystem, teaching and learning environment and has internationally acclaimed expertise in molecular biology, biomedical science, molecular medicine, pharmacy and nutrition, with strong links with the health service, national, and international industry.
We wish to appoint innovative and ambitious individuals with integrity, energy and a passion for their work. The post-holders will deliver on the objectives of a series of disease-focused work packages associated with a major generously funded stratified medicine project, working at the interface between systems biology/bioinformatics, genomics and medicine. Core duties will be research focused, but will also include delivery of innovative specialist undergraduate and postgraduate taught provision in stratified medicine and the proposed new Graduate Entry Medical School. The posts will involve close engagement with end users including the health service and the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industry. Applicants must have research outputs which are eligible for inclusion in the next UK Research Excellence Framework (REF).
