Ulster University has unveiled a state-of-the-art immersive learning suite at its Derry~Londonderry campus, funded by the Department for the Economy.

This cutting-edge facility is set to transform educational experiences for students in both further and higher education, while also serving as a valuable resource for the local community.

The immersive learning suite, led by the School of Education researchers Dr Aideen Hunter and Dr Shauna McGill, is part of the £1million 'Multiply' project funded by the Department for the Economy's Higher Education Research Capital programme.

Immersive learning leverages advanced technologies such as mixed reality to create engaging, interactive educational environments. By simulating real-world scenarios, these tools enable students to develop practical skills and deepen their understanding of complex subjects in a controlled, risk-free setting.

The introduction of the immersive suite underscores Ulster University's commitment to fostering innovation and enhancing educational outcomes. It provides students with access to cutting-edge resources that combine theoretical knowledge and practical application, better preparing them for the demands of the modern workforce.
