Ulster University has carried out important new modelling work exploring the effect of new restrictions on Covid-19 infection numbers and rates in Northern Ireland, the UK and France.
The research was carried out by Dr David Glass and his team from the school of Computing and an online tool, developed by Dr Liam Burns from School of Engineering, is now available online and visualises the importance of judging the amount of relaxation to avoid run-away infection rates in these countries.
Data from the study, which is regularly updated, has also reviewed a number of recent publications including the European and US lockdowns and second waves during the COVID-19 pandemic.
