This session is led by Michael Shannon (People Development Partner, People and Culture) and Deborah Sloan (Academic Programme Leader) and it takes place online via Teams on Wednesday 24 February from 12pm to 1pm.
2021 is here at last, but – in the words of M&S – “this isn’t any old New Year”. Many of us would usually have made New Year’s resolutions and made plans for the year ahead – but this year looks very different.
It is easy to become de-motivated and wonder is there any point in having goals at all?
Research has found that setting goals, both personal and professional, boosts performance by motivating us to increase our effort, have a stronger focus and help us prioritise. So join the Wo/men’s Network for a discussion on setting effective goals to boost personal mastery in the year ahead!
We will focus on the process and value of setting goals and how to make these ‘gift’ goals (ones that are joyful to pursue) rather than ‘should’ goals (ones we feel we must do but give us no joy).
Hopefully, you will leave the session with at least one goal to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
Please note the link to access Teams will be emailed to those who sign up to attend.
