Ulster Arts presents: Dr Victoria McCollum in conversation with Queer NI project historians Dr Leanne McCormick, Dr Tom Hulme, Dr Maurice Casey and Dr Charlie Lynch.
Want to hear more about the intriguing lives of queer people in NI, from the late 19th Century to the 1970s?
Join us as we uncover stories of men and women from across class and religious divides who fell in love and had relationships here, in the north of Ireland, long before the liberation.
In NI at the time, homosexuality was illegal and punishable by imprisonment and condemned by many in society, but queer individuals still expressed their desires and often found some acceptance and toleration too.
Hear about the project that hopes to tell and share their stories.
