The Event
On May 29th, 2024, the BAME+ Network hosted an insightful AU Day Talk on the theme "Economy, Politics, and a Fractured African History." The event, which began at midday, featured Aaron Weah from the Transitional Justice Institute (TJI) at Ulster University as the keynote speaker. The event drew a diverse audience eager to engage with the complex interplay of Africa’s economic, political, and historical landscapes.
Q&A Session
The talk was followed by a lively Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to pose questions and discuss their perspectives. The interactive session underscored the importance of such discussions in fostering a deeper understanding of Africa’s multifaceted issues.
Pot Luck
Following the talk, a potluck was held. This informal gathering allowed attendees to continue their discussions in a more relaxed setting while enjoying a variety of dishes contributed by participants. The potluck fostered a sense of community and provided an excellent opportunity for networking.
