Outworker Recordings is a brand-new record label that will showcase the innovative and wild music made by students, staff and alumni of Ulster University.
It will support our creative composers, sound artists, musicians, producers, engineers, and designers, in pursing their most radical sonic impulses.
Outworker Recordings will be a platform for Ulster University Music, past and present and a launchpad for our future musical pioneers.
Dr Rob Casey, Lecturer in the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the Magee Campus, said:
“We are delighted to launch Outworker Recordings. It will be a fantastic opportunity to support the radical musical voices that have and are emerging from Ulster University.
It is a great way to give our students up-to-date hands-on experience of all aspects of the conception, creation, and dissemination of music within our fast-paced media culture.”
For the debut release that will launch the label, composers and musicians are being invited to submit a high-quality recording for consideration before:
5:00pm on Friday 16 July 2021.
