Ulster University engineering students used their mechanical, electronic, design and biomedical skills to develop components of a racing car as part of the Formula Student initiative, Europe's most established educational motorsport competition.
The project, which is sponsored by McAuley Engineering, Elite Electronics, Fleming-Agri, Advanced Sensors Ltd, Yelo Ltd and JMG Systems, aims to help students develop relevant skills that will enhance employment prospects after graduation. In addition to applying design and engineering principles, participating students also gained experience of project management and team working.
