The graduation ceremonies for full-time and part-time students at the University of Ulster ended today with final ceremonies for students who studied at the Magee campus.
Students from the faculties of Computing & Engineering; Life and Health Sciences; Arts, and the Ulster Business School received their awards at the Millennium Forum.
In all, over 4500 students have successfully completed their examinations with the University this year at levels from Certificate and Diploma through to Degree and Doctorate. The include full and part-time students, as well as those who studied University-accredited programmes through many of Northern Ireland’s Colleges of Further and Higher Education.
At the morning ceremony, the work of late trade unionist Inez McCormack was honoured, while at the afternoon conferring, noted journalist Simon Kelner Enya received the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters (DLitt) in recognition of his services to journalism.
