Denis Moloney is principal in a leading firm of Belfast solicitors, and was instrumental in the creation of the annual Chancellors’ Lecture series at the University of Ulster.
A strong advocate for those who often would not have a voice, as well as those who have, he was honoured in 1999 for Services to Education and Health and in 2004 appointed to the Council of State for Ireland.
He is to receive the degree of Doctor of Laws (LLD) for services to charity and the University.¨
