A joint University of Ulster/QUB solicitor training admission exam due to be held at Jordanstown tomorrow has been postponed due to current severe weather conditions.

The decision to postpone the test was a joint decision of the Graduate School of Professional Legal Education (GSPLE) at Ulster, and IPLS at Queen's.

A spokesperson said: "We have had to take this decision because of the ongoing weather conditions and in light of a forecast of severe freezing and heavy snow overnight in the Belfast area.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will let candidates know the new date as soon as possible."

Approximately 540 candidates were due to sit the test.
