How do we think about sustainable, open, and inclusive digital innovation for the museums?

by Alan Hook, Museums, Crisis and Covid-19 CI and Senior Lecturer in Interactive Media, Ulster University

This is the first in a series of blog posts that detail each step in the process of designing an interactive, browser based piece of museum interpretation. I'll be putting these ideas to the test with students on Ulster University's Museum Management MA course this semester. Subsequent blog posts will look into ideas behind inclusive design and follow these ideas as they are put in to practice.

This first blog details two lessons, taken from my past experience in developing interactive content, that I apply to the design process:

  1. Browser is Best
  2. Make Stuff for my Mum
