The Library's subject librarians regularly trial the latest databases & e-resources to support your studies. A trial of Covidence is now available via the Library Databases page.

Covidence is a cloud-based collaboration software platform that streamlines the research review process. It can be used across a variety of disciplines, both for systematic/scoping/rapid reviews as well as more narrative-oriented literature reviews.

With Covidence you will be able to:

  • import references/citations
  • screen titles and abstracts
  • upload references
  • screen full texts
  • create custom tables for data extraction
  • populate risk of bias tables
  • export from Covidence at any stage
  • easily collaborate with others inside and outside of your university

To support you and ease any concerns about using Covidence in the limited time of the trial, we are pleased to offer users who begin a review during this period the option to extend their access for an additional 12 months. This will allow you to continue and complete your work without any pressure.
At the end of the trial, registered users will receive a survey email to share their feedback and experiences, along with the opportunity to request extended access if desired. We are here to ensure you have a positive experience!

A dedicated information page for the trial sign-up has been supplied by Covidence.  It includes guidance for creating a review with ALL the functions and features available.

You can request your invitation to sign up and join the university’s trial via the Covidence self sign-up page.  Please note sign-up invitations are only valid with the university email address domain (@ulster.ac.uk).

The Covidence trial runs until 28/10/24.
Your feedback regarding this trial is welcome.
Full details of all our databases and e-resources can be found on the Library Databases page.
