The University Archive was established in 2002. The records reflect the history and development of the University and its predecessor institutions, the New University of Ulster, the Ulster Polytechnic, Magee College and the College of Art.
Before the University Archive was established two deposits (D4327- University of Ulster papers 1882-1987; NUU – New University of Ulster) were made to the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) which included some, but not all, of the oldest material.
We welcome enquires from members of the University and external researchers. To access material from the Archive please contact the Archive Team in advance to allow adequate time for material to be retrieved and made available.
We welcome donations of material relating to the University and its predecessor institutions, even if the material is old, seemingly useless or ephemeral. Please contact the Archive Team to donate material.
The Archive does not hold rare books or special collections. For further details of these please follow the link to the Special Collections and Rare Books subject guide.
