Formally known as ODL, the CDLE team sit with the Learning Enhancement portfolio, and are responsible for the promotion, development and support of digital learning within the university.
We work closely with staff and students, to inform and support the use of education technology. Throughout the year we offer workshops, webinars, one-to-one drop-in sessions, and online materials to reflect all subject requirements and varied learning and teaching needs.
CDLE are responsible for maintaining and supporting institutional technologies including Blackboard Ultra (VLE), TurnItIn (assessment), Panopto (video), Studiosity (an academic writing support service for students), Blackboard Collaborate (webinar software), CampusPress (blogging platform), Blackboard Ally (digital accessibility tool) and the Module Manager.
In addition, we offer a range of advice and support including blended/online learning design workshops, digital capability (including AI) workshops, design and development of learning resources and online assessment guidance.
