Planning to join Ulster University this September?

You could benefit from the University of the Year International Accommodation Scholarship, covering your accommodation costs for an entire academic year (37 weeks).

This scholarship is designed to help you reduce living expenses, so you can focus on your studies and make the most of your time at Ulster University.

What's included?

  • FREE accommodation for one full academic year (37 weeks)
  • All utility bills covered - heating, electricity, and WiFi included
  • Comfortable living at Dalriada Student Village

Limited rooms available

Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply early to secure your spot.

Who can apply?

To qualify for this scholarship, you must:

  1. Be an international, self-funding student paying the international tuition fee rate
  2. Hold an offer for a full-time Bachelors or Masters programme at our Belfast campus, starting September 2025
  3. Have met all academic and English language conditions outlined in your offer letter
  4. Have paid your deposit

Not eligible?

This scholarship does not apply to:

  1. Part-time or elearning programmes
  2. Programme at our Coleraine, Derry~Londonderry or branch campuses (London, Birmingham, or Manchester)

Is Dalriada right for you?

While Dalriada Student Village provides a budget-friendly, peaceful living environment, it is not located in close proximity to the main University campus. You will need to factor in travel time to and from your classes in Belfast (seven miles away).

Getting to campus

Getting to Belfast campus from Dalriada Student Village is easy, with several public transport options available.

ULink Bus (term time only)

The most convenient way to travel between Dalriade Student Village and Belfast campus.  Just hop on at the on-site bus stop, and you're good to go.

Ulsterbus 563 and 263

Running every 30 minutes from the Shore Road between 0700hrs and 2100hrs Monday to Saturday.  On Sundays, this service operates once an hour.  Check the timetable here.

Train Service

Another great option is the train between Belfast York Street and Jordanstown, running every 30 minutes. The train halt is a short five-minute walk from Dalriada Student Village.  Sunday services may be less frequent.  Find train times here.

Taxi

Need a faster option? A taxi from Belfast campus to Dalriada Student Village will likely cost around £13 or more.
