Foundation courses
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Senior High School Diploma with 75% or above to include a pass (75%) in 5 subjects
Undergraduate courses
Each programme will have slightly different requirements, both in terms of overall points and certain subjects, so please check the relevant subject in the undergraduate on-line prospectus.
Normally Ulster University welcomes applications from students with:
Qualification
- Post 2018: Grade 12 Senior High School Diploma (Academic track) with 80% or above to include a pass (80%) in 5 subjects or Successful completion of a Bachelor degree in a professional subject completed prior to 2022. Diploma/Associate (2 years)
- If high school diploma awarded before 2018, successful completion of a recognised foundation year will be required

Postgraduate courses
Typically we require applicants for taught programmes to hold the equivalent of a UK first degree (usually in a relevant subject area). Please refer to the specific entry requirements for your chosen course of study as outlined in the online prospectus. We consider students who have good grades in the following:
Qualification
- Bachelors Degree prior to 2022 (4 Year)
- 80% for courses requiring a 2:1
- 75% for courses requiring a 2:2
- When studied at the following prestigious institution(s):
- Asian Institute of Management
- Ateneo de Manila University
- De La Salle University
- University of Santo Tomas
- University of the Philippines
- Masters Degree
- 70% for courses requiring a 2:1
- 65% for courses requiring a 2:2
- From 2022:
- Bachelor degree 75% for courses requiring 2:2
- Bachelor degree 80% for courses requiring 2:1

English Language Entry Requirements
Normally the minimum English language entry requirement is IELTS (academic) of 6.0 (with no band score of less than 5.5).
Some of our courses ask for a higher score.
If you do not meet the English language requirement we will give you a conditional offer subject to you meeting the requirement before the commencement of the course.
We accept a wide range of alternative English language examinations and tests so please check the list of other accepted tests
