Call for Submissions
Enduring, persevering, persisting, tolerating.
In a time of global hardships and anxieties, we are currently having to continue to survive, whether physical or mentally, in these uneasy and/or unsettling times.
An Invitation from the Editorial Team
In its third year of publication, Intersections is in the unique position to showcase how PhD Researchers and MA students at Ulster University have endured the challenges ushered in with the advent of 2020.
Not only are we in the midst of a global pandemic, but we are also mired in uncertainty surrounding Brexit, all while during a time of global political change. We are in unprecedented times and the Intersections Editorial Team is inviting you to share how your research addresses or investigates the theme of endurance.
Submissions are invited to address the following key areas that are important to explore within this context, including but not limited to:
- Endurance and hardships in relation to the writers, artists, scholars, etc. within your discipline
- Endurance and its presence in theoretical and empirical research practice
- Theoretical discussions on the concept of “endurance” in relation to research within social science, humanities, and/or the arts
- Effective methods of endurance, such as escapism, and their role within your discipline or research
- The role and place of endurance in the analysis and/or dissemination of research
Who may submit?
In line with the Journal’s namesake, Intersections encourages the multidisciplinary exchange of research and practice at Ulster University.
It is an annual meeting place for - primarily - the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences to share reviews, processes and theories emerging from current PhD and MA candidates and early career Researchers.
We also encourage appropriate cross-disciplinary responses (the format for which is outlined below) from other faculties which align with the Journal’s ethos.
