Jason Elliott graduated with first class honours in Law from Ulster University in 2012. After graduating, he attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University Belfast allowing him to qualify as a Barrister. Jason was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 2013.
Jason’s practice at the Bar has included commercial, land/property and employment law disputes. Alongside, his practice at the Bar he taught at both Ulster University and Queen’s University Belfast on a part-time basis primarily in the areas of Equity and Land Law.
Jason recently graduated with a distinction in International Commercial Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution from Ulster University and became an accredited mediator.
In terms of his position at Ulster University, this will be split between teaching on the undergraduate law course and the Masters in International Commercial Law with ADR.
He is module co-ordinator of Equity and Trusts in the undergraduate law course and runs a number of modules in the International Commercial Law Masters.
Alongside this teaching, Jason is co-ordinator for the Professional Practice module which gives students the opportunity to go on placement during their undergraduate degree with employers such as the PSNI and Herbert Smith Freehills
