TJI Director, Prof Siobhán Wills, and Prof Cahal McLaughlin (QUB) were interviewed on 3 October 2021 on Canada News TV, about their AHRC funded film 'Right Now I Want to Scream'.
The 2020 film, which lasts 62 minutes, was produced in collaboration with families that have suffered deaths, injuries and other human rights violations as a result of police violence in Rio de Janeiro's favelas.
The film documents the impact of sustained police violence on the physical and mental health of favela communities and their campaign for justice and accountability.
