A&O Shearman LLM Access to Justice scholarship 2024

The School of Law is pleased to make available two scholarships (worth 5,500 pounds) for candidates accepted onto our Masters degree in Access to Justice.  The scholarships aim to assist meritorious candidates in the payment of fees thereby enabling them to take up a place on the LLM Access to Justice degree programme of the School of Law, Ulster University. The scholarships are supported by A&O Shearman.

The School of Law reserves the right not to award any scholarships in a particular year should suitably qualified candidates not be identified in the applicant pool. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of evaluation by the LLM Course Director and the Clinic Director(s).

Particular attention is paid to the contribution of the candidate to work in the field of access to justice, or by clear potential to make such a contribution, or an exceptional demonstration of ability in the field of access to justice.  Such contributions or exceptionality will be demonstrated by the written statement outlining the candidate’s experience in this field and/or by academic contributions to date, and/or by the demonstration of clear potential to contribute to access to justice.

In the event of jointly ranked written applications, awards may be shared between applicants.

If you wish to be considered for the Scholarships you must submit your Scholarship application to the LLM Course Director, Laura Hyde (l.hyde@ulster.ac.uk) by 5pm on Friday 6 September 2024.
