We offer a rich variety of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Our History courses contain a range of topics and specialisms, which can include field trips, placement opportunities, and study abroad opportunities.

Undergraduate History addresses early modern, modern and contemporary history, exploring and analyzing many of the major developments that have shaped our current world. You will study the history of Europe, British and Irish history, the history of the United States, and parts of the Middle East. You can develop specialisms in areas like gender history, medical history, public history and international diplomacy.

We are committed to innovative learning and teaching, and want to help you make the most out of your time here. Our lecturers are encouraged to support students in any way they can in order to enhance their experience with us. As well as this, our lecturers have both national and international reputations as scholars in their chosen fields involved in important and original research projects, which in turn informs our teaching
