Student Success Ambassadors will secure EDGE Award accreditation by logging and documenting specific activities and by participating in induction and skills development support.

Outline of Activity

Upon appointment, Student Success Ambassadors will receive introductory skill development session by the Student Success team and will be designated a number of student led induction sessions and activities to attend throughout the semester, usually lasting 1-2 hours per activity.

The number of activities a Student Success Ambassador completes is entirely up to them and depends on number of opportunities available, however there will be a small number of core recommended activities an ambassador should participate in such as Welcome Week, Open days, First Year Induction Sessions, Academic Workshops and Social Events supported by Student Success Centre.

After each activity, Student Success Ambassadors will be required to digitally log and document that activity. In addition to physical presence at events, Ambassadors can also engage in online admin activities including development of future induction and transition resources.

Ambassadors will receive skill development and support in public speaking, presentation skills, and networking skills, at different points of their development. The season of activity starts in September and ends in May on an annual basis.
