Playmakers Series:Playwright

Outline of Activity

Bring your imagination to life by writing and submitting a short one act play on any topic of your choice. The play will be developed and produced by our in-house production company 'Playmakers', where you will be able to celebrate the realisation of your ideas on stage with a live audience.

Learning Outcomes

Through this activity students will develop the following skills:

• Original dramatic work performed to a live audience
• Evaluating world views and representing them artistically through drama
• Develop the fundamentals of dramatic writing exploring structure, character and story
• Increase confidence and communication through skill development

Assessment Details

For EDGE Award accreditation students will be assessed on:
• Submission of 20 page script
• 600 word reflective essay on the process of idea development to finished product
