Outline of Activity

Explore the craft of Stage Directing through a live performance of original drama. Develop your practical and professional skills by leading a team through the process of arts project development. The experience will culminate with a performance with a live studio audience.

Learning Outcomes

Through this activity students will develop the following skills:

• Direct and produce and original drama project
• Develop creative, collaborative partnerships with peers and staff
• Adoption of proven rehearsal techniques and processes to realise the project
• Increased confidence and capacity for professional communication

Assessment Details

For EDGE Award accreditation students will be assessed on:
• Live original performance
• 600 word reflective essay on the rehearsal process highlighting methods and techniques to develop practice
