This EDGE Award activity is specifically designed for final year and postgraduate students approaching the final stages of their degree programme

Outline of Activity

Designed specifically for students approaching the final stages of their academic studies, this activity will guide and support you to develop a specific, personalised graduate transition plan. It will also ensure that you are ready to apply and compete for graduate opportunities with confidence through a combination of 1-1 advice and coaching and the completion of self directed activities.

Learning Outcomes

By engaging with this EDGE activity students will achieve the following learning outcomes:

  • A personalised graduate transition plan focused on helping you take proactive steps towards graduate success.
  • Enhanced confidence in how you articulate your skills, strengths and experiences through your CV, applications and digital presence.
  • Improved ability to prepare for graduate job opportunities and/or networking opportunities.

Assessment Details

Students completing this for the EDGE Award need to complete the following:

  1. Attend a 1 hour 'Graduating...what next?' webinar that will introduce you to this activity and describe the key elements of your graduate transition plan.
  2. Attend a 1-1 advice/coaching appointment with a Graduate Development Coach to explore and begin to develop your Graduate Transition Plan
  3. Complete an updated CV and LinkedIn profile (to be reviewed by the Graduate Development Coach)
  4. Attend a follow up 1-1 advice/coaching appointment to review and complete your Graduate Transition Plan and to review and get feedback on your final CV and LinkedIn Profile
