Results Day and Clearing 2024
The following arrangements have been made to assist with applicant enquiries following the publication of A level results on Thursday 15 August 2024 and the opening of Clearing 2024 on Friday 5 July.
Our Clearing website provides prospective students and their families with everything they need to know about Clearing and Results Day and what support we provide. A full list of Clearing vacancies will also be available on our website from Friday 5 July.
Our Admissions Team have made further enhancements to the frequency and type of correspondence applicants will receive to encourage confirmation of offers (if successful) – or to provide advice and instruction for those whose decision may still be pending. Please encourage applicants to check their email and SMSs on a regular basis during the Results Day period.

The University will be providing an Admissions Helpline for applicants/enquiries to undergraduate course vacancies.
Admissions staff will endeavour to make decisions as quickly as possible, and applicants should continue to check their status on UCAS Track. This will be updated twice per day (morning and afternoon).
Applicants who HAVE MET the conditions of their offer will have their place confirmed by UCAS and by email from the University.
Applicants who HAVE NOT met the conditions of their offer will NOT receive an update on their status via the Helpline.
Applicants may still be considered and are asked to be patient whilst our Admissions team process all applications.
The Helpline operating times will be:
- Monday 8 July – Friday 9 August 2024, 9am-5pm
- Thursday 15 August 2024, 8am-5pm
- Friday 16 August 2022, 9am-4pm
- Monday 19 August – Friday 30 August, 9am-5pm

Applicants will be able to inform Admissions of an ‘Exam Remark’ or ‘Missing Grades’ by using our online enquiry form or using our Live Chat facility on our Clearing website.

Mini Open Day at Derry~Londonderry campus
We will be golding a Mini Open Day at our Derry~Londonderry campus on Wednesday 21st August from 10am – 2.30pm.
This will allow students who have entered through Clearing or have received a Course Change Offer for a course at our Derry~Londonderry campus to come along, get a tour of the campus, talk to our academic staff and attend a subject talk. A full list of the talks that are available will be advertised closer to the time.

Campus Tours
Clearing applicants may also avail of campus tours which will be subject to specific conditions. Bookable slots will be available online and take place on:
- Friday 16 August, 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
- Monday 19 August, 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
- Tuesday 20 August, 12noon-2pm
Teachers and Careers Practitioners
Colleagues calling on behalf of an applicants from Schools or FE Colleges can contact a member of the Schools Engagement Team (see details below). The purpose of this option is to assist with queries of extenuating or special circumstances ONLY and details of your query will be directed to the relevant Admissions Officer for assistance and follow up if required. Status updates will NOT be provided.
Colleagues should also bear in mind the implications of GDPR and have the permission of applicants to enquire on their behalf – either by having the applicant present or by being named as a contact that can speak on their behalf. Please have available all the relevant applicant details - applicant name, personal identification number, course (faculty/ campus), etc.
