Photography with Video

Do your students have the passion for photography?

If so, they could have a career at the heart of the creative industries…from gallery to magazine, from breaking news to film sets, studying Photography with Video gives you access to a huge range of art and commercial opportunities!

Here’s more reasons why this course could be for them…

Staff and students working internationally in fields of photography and film/ moving image. They go on to publish and exhibit, whilst working on successful commercial careers (as photographers, filmmakers, gallery curators, researchers -along with roles in the wider creative industries).

The course is based in the heart of the Cathedral Quartern and enjoys close partnerships with museums and galleries in the city, Ireland and internationally. Eg. The students have recently collaborated with Belfast Exposed, Golden Thread Gallery and have exhibited in Italy, Finland and France over recent years.

The staff team are internationally recognised. Their work is held in collections including The Museum of Modern Art, New York (Ken Grant, Donovan Wylie), Photo Museum Ireland (Clare Gallagher, Ailbhe Greaney, Donovan Wylie) as well as in many major collections.

Staff use their professional links to bring important industry professionals to the course and to lead opportunities with international partners (eg. Marangoni School, Italy - a regular student workshop exchange).

Students benefit from further local and international partnerships. Eg. In November 4 graduates and 2 staff members will exhibit at this Paris Photo international art fair.

Photography and Video is at the heart of today's cultural industries, whether that be publishing, exhibiting, advertising or elsewhere. The course provides a firm grounding for students and supports them as they develop a unique place within the industry for themselves.
