Every student PC or Mac supported by Digital Services has a standard desktop. A core set of applications and utilities are provided which include:

  • Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, or Apple Safari web browser
  • Statistical software such as SPSS
  • Utilities such as Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Student PC systems run a Windows 11 Enterprise operating system and Apple systems run a macOS version 14 operating system.

Additional applications, specific to courses provided by certain faculties in specified laboratories/locations along with a range of Disability Support Software are available directly from the Start button.

Some Windows and MacOS features have been restricted to ensure service provision.

Print, copy and scan services for PCs and Apple systems in SITL locations are supported by centrally managed Multi Function Devices distributed in key SITL areas.
