Its intelligent canvas with interactive tools makes it easy for anyone to get work done, from journey mapping to diagramming, and more. MIRO Licence
MIRO offer a free Education Licence to staff and students in Higher Education. You can sign up for a Student or an Educator Licence on the MIRO website: Whiteboard for online education | Miro
You will need to provide a URL to an image of your University ID, to a University web page where your name and position are stated, or to another document to validate your student or employment status.
NOTE: do not use the MIRO ‘SIGN UP FOR FREE’ link on the MIRO homepage to access a MIRO licence. This free version will only grant access to two Boards, and the Boards will be public globally. You should apply for an Education Licence only: Whiteboard for online education | Miro
MIRO Teams App
You can use MIRO within MS Teams to collaborate during live calls, or in Teams Channels. MS Teams offers the ability to bring any user into the MIRO board, even if they do not have a MIRO account.
To add MIRO to a Channel or Meeting, click on the App button in the Channel homepage or Meeting toolbar, search for MIRO and click to add it. You'll be asked to select or create a Board to add to the Channel. Select the Board you wish to use.
The App offers a range of functionality within Teams:
- Miro for Teams meetings: Open a new or existing Miro board during any Microsoft Teams meeting to let your team create, brainstorm, and ideate together in real time.
- Miro for Teams calendar integration: Embed a Miro board into any Microsoft Teams calendar invitation, set permissions, and give access to your collaborators before the meeting.
- Custom Miro tab: Embed any Miro board as a new tab in Microsoft Teams so you and your collaborators can interact, make updates, and work together async.
- Miro Notifications bot: Get notified of activity on your boards in Microsoft Teams to stay informed on feedback, reviews, and other important actions. Track notifications in the Miro chat feed.
